"they are looking around in my head again" - Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss
Curator: Anna Juhász

Writing a diary always carries the tension between the secrecy of recording our thoughts and the possibility of publicity. It is an intimate genre, an effort to read ourselves – therapy. Barnabás Neogrády-Kiss not only puts down his feelings on paper but also captures his inner perceptions in photography. The images – these condensed moments of his life – are interfering with the text, playing with the boundaries of documentary and fiction. In the gallery the story steps out of the pages of the notebook and unfolds into an exhibition. We may enter the artist's mind for a symbolic stroll.
